SWEET SCREEN PRODUCTIONS is a registered cultural organisation based in Kashmir, committed to the preservation and promotion of traditional arts & heritage. Established under the Societies Registration Act with Registration No. 7296-S dated 22/8/2019 and re-registration No. 7438, the organisation is also recognised with NGO Unique ID: JK/2021/0280955.
The organisation comprises talented artists belonging to Gharandar folk families of Kashmir, carrying forward generations of rich cultural traditions. SWEET SCREEN PRODUCTIONS has actively participated in theatre festivals across India in collaboration with prestigious institutions including Sangeet Natak Academy, North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC), Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), and the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages.
The group has represented the region in Republic Day state tableaux and contributed to documentary films showcasing Kashmir's vibrant cultural identity. Dedicated to safeguarding Kashmir's folk dance and traditional theatre, SWEET SCREEN PRODUCTIONS works tirelessly to revive, sustain, and promote these art forms for future generations—ensuring Kashmir's cultural legacy remains alive and thriving.

We represent Kashmiri culture at a national level and teach traditional folk dance to young generations in schools. Our director also attends workshops.
We have performed cultural programmes in the presence of the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, including the 25th Sansad Baithak in New Delhi.

SHOWKAT AHMAD DAR is the dedicated Director of SWEET SCREEN PRODUCTIONS, Srinagar. He has devoted himself to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. With years of experience in folk theatre and traditional dance, he has actively participated in national theatre festivals, cultural programmes, and Republic Day tableaux. Under his leadership, the organisation has gained recognition for its artistic excellence. He is deeply committed to training young artists and ensuring the continuity of Kashmiri folk traditions for future generations.
